DSPFCU Mourns Former Board Chairman and CEO Allen Riley

DSPFCU is mourning the loss of former Board Chairman and CEO Allen Riley, who passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020. A retired Delaware State Police Captain, Allen’s service to DSPFCU began in the 1980s on the Board of Directors and he was later elected Chairman. In 1987 he was named DSPFCU CEO, a position he held until 2002. For the past 17 years he has been serving as Vice President of Operations at Tidemark Federal Credit Union. Always active in the community and dedicated to helping others, his influence as a credit union champion continued as Delaware Credit Union League Chairman, overseeing its successful merger with the Cooperative Credit Union Association in 2016. In lieu of flowers, his family requested that memorial contributions be made to one of these organizations: Delaware State Police Museum PO BOX 430, Dover, DE 19903; Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 W. 4th Street, Lewes, DE 19958 Attn: the IT/Audio Visual Program; or Bethel Christian Pre-School, 129 W. 4th Street, Lewes, DE 19958.
